Ethiopian Organic Forum: Public Private Partnership

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 9 July 2009

On July 9, 2009 the Ethiopian Association of Organic Agriculture (EAOA), in collaboration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) and UNEP-UNCTAD CBTF, held a one-day Ethiopian Organic Forum: Public Private Partnership. The objective of the event was to strengthen public-private partnership within the Ethiopian organic sector and to raise awareness of the private sector's needs among policy makers. During the forum, the recent survey of the status of organic agriculture in Ethiopia was presented and discussions on topics such as policy development; organic agriculture and food security; organic export development; standards; organic research; etc. were held.
